BGK throws a lifeline to Port Polska. 20 billion PLN at stake

The Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego plans to financially support the construction of Port Polska, a major transport investment in Poland facing budget challenges. The government has indicated that EU funding for the High-Speed Rail project will fall short, creating a budget gap of over 20 billion PLN. BGK's president confirmed preliminary discussions about financing, potentially providing up to 10 billion PLN for the project. The investment's success hinges on securing necessary permits and selecting contractors, with a new CPK president expected soon to advance the project. Additionally, BGK is open to financing Poland's nuclear power initiatives, aligning with its strategy to support energy transformation.
