Due to a loss of confidence, the ministry has immediately dismissed Botond Feledy from the head of the Foreign Institute.

The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dismissed Botond Feledy from his position as director of the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs. His removal comes unexpectedly after he had been appointed in August to recalibrate the institute's political direction and restore its professional reputation. The ministry cited a loss of trust due to Feledy's long-standing ties to the previous government. Feledy, who had moved back to Budapest from Brussels, has two decades of experience in foreign policy. He and his deputy had previously promised a clear break from the institute's past political affiliations and aimed to develop a new Hungarian foreign policy strategy.
