Netanyahu's bloc wins but without a majority to govern

Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party won the elections but lacks a governing majority, securing 53 seats in total. The final results show Likud with 27 seats, while the opposition party Yashar! led by Gadi Eisenkot came second with 21 seats. The opposition bloc has 48 seats, and the two Arab lists hold 19 seats, making them potential kingmakers for the required 61 seats in the Knesset. A total of 5,716,665 votes were counted, with 5,690,778 deemed valid. Eleven parties surpassed the 3.25% threshold to gain representation. Netanyahu's coalition includes ultra-Orthodox parties and ultranationalists, while the opposition consists of various parties including former prime ministers. Netanyahu needs eight more seats for a majority, while Eisenkot's bloc requires thirteen, indicating neither can govern without support from Arab parties or opposition members.
