János Bóka: Today's freedom sprouted from the victory of the heroes of 1956

In his speech, Bóka János emphasized that the heroes of 1956 triumphed despite their defeat, as their sacrifices led to today's freedom. He conveyed a message to future generations about the importance of recognizing tyranny and preserving freedom. Bóka asserted that freedom cannot be defined by tyranny and highlighted that true freedom requires independence. He noted that the Hungarian identity must be preserved as a nation of freedom. Furthermore, he pointed out that history teaches that the struggle for freedom is ongoing, as there will always be enemies of freedom. He stated that in a free country, political police should not exist, and citizens should not face threats of arrest.
