Taiwan's stock market recorded a record outflow of foreign capital in October
In October, Taiwan's stock market experienced a record outflow of foreign capital, with investors withdrawing $31.78 billion. This surpasses the previous record set in March. The sell-off is attributed to instability in the AI market, rising financing costs, and disappointing financial results from major tech companies. The Taiwan market, heavily reliant on technology, may face further declines following significant drops in U.S. indices. As of 10:00 local time, the Taiex index fell by 1.24%, remaining 10.39% below its all-time high from October 6. Despite recent losses, the Taiex has gained over 50% since the beginning of the year.
