Bomb threats on seven flights in Europe, no explosives found
Today, bomb threats were reported on at least seven passenger flights across Europe, prompting investigations in Poland, Spain, Bulgaria, and Italy. No explosives were found on any of the aircraft. A notable incident involved a LOT Polish Airlines flight from London to Warsaw, which diverted to Warsaw-Modlin Airport, temporarily halting air traffic. Other flights, including a SAS flight from Copenhagen to Warsaw, were also checked upon landing. In Spain, a Ryanair flight from Manchester to Murcia made a precautionary landing, with no explosives detected. Bulgarian authorities reported bomb threats against two flights to Sofia, while in Italy, two Ryanair flights were inspected after anonymous threats. A security expert suggested that the simultaneous nature of these threats indicates a deliberate action rather than random hoaxes.
