Braga for housing: two hundred protesters on the street

Around 200 people, mainly students from the University of Minho, gathered in Braga to support housing protests in Lisbon and Porto. The spontaneous demonstration highlighted the struggles of students facing housing shortages. Teresa Amorim, the spokesperson, emphasized the need for public housing and the right to occupy public spaces. A new organized gathering is planned for Wednesday to discuss future actions. The protests began in Porto on October 10, demanding control over essential goods prices and addressing the housing crisis. Recent police interventions have led to injuries and arrests during these protests.
