There is a shortage of F-16 pilots in the Polish army. Training takes years

Poland's military aviation faces a pilot shortage for its F-16 fleet, which consists of 47 aircraft. Current estimates suggest a need for at least 70 trained pilots, highlighting a gap in personnel. Training limitations and high dropout rates hinder the recruitment process. The introduction of F-35 jets and future Apache helicopters further complicates the situation, as they will require additional pilots. The military must enhance its training system to meet these growing demands, or risk operational inefficiencies as new aircraft are acquired.
