Fire in the center of Delft, ten homes evacuated

A fire broke out in Delft's city center early this morning, prompting the evacuation of ten homes due to the risk of spreading. The blaze started around 6:15 AM on Kerkstraat, near the Nieuwe Kerk. Evacuated residents were initially sheltered in a cold depot before a local café owner offered his establishment for warmth. The fire department responded with nine vehicles, including seven fire trucks and two aerial platforms.
