Brazil chooses today between Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro

Today, over 158 million Brazilians vote in a tight presidential race between incumbent Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro. Polls show them nearly tied, reflecting a divided nation. In the first round, Bolsonaro led with 47.03% to Lula's 45.16%, a difference of about 2.2 million votes. Lula, at 80, seeks a fourth term, while Bolsonaro aims to restore his family's political power after his father's defeat four years ago. Both candidates are expected to vote around 8 AM local time. Lula will vote in São Paulo and then monitor results in the capital, while Bolsonaro will vote in Rio de Janeiro before heading to Brasília to follow the election results.
