Brent surpasses 114 dollars, the highest value since April

Brent crude oil prices have risen to over $114, the highest since April, due to tensions in the Middle East. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard claimed to have attacked four ships allegedly involved in illegal oil transfers. U.S. President Trump accused Iran of spreading false information about attacks in the Strait of Hormuz to manipulate fuel prices. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia intercepted a ballistic missile launched by Houthi rebels from Yemen, who have claimed responsibility for recent attacks on Saudi defense and oil facilities. The U.S. has ordered non-essential government personnel to leave the region and is considering a new offensive against Iran after the upcoming U.S. elections.
