Britain’s 'oldest cars' hit the road for annual London to Brighton run
The London to Brighton Veteran Car Run celebrated 140 years of motoring history with pre-1905 vehicles parading through London. The event featured a 97km journey from Hyde Park to Brighton, showcasing early cars that often traveled at low speeds. Participants emphasized the experience of driving these fragile vehicles, which require careful handling due to their mechanical challenges. The run commemorates Karl Benz's introduction of the first production car, the Patent-Motorwagen.
