Bruges man (64) arrested again after 2 years for the murder of his wife (45)

A 64-year-old man has been arrested again on suspicion of murdering his 45-year-old wife, whose body was found in their home in Bruges in November 2024. Initially detained in December 2024, he was released under conditions while the investigation continued. Nearly two years later, he was re-presented to the investigating judge on October 13, 2026, and arrested again. He appeared before the Bruges council chamber on October 16, which decided to place him under electronic surveillance, a decision the prosecution has appealed.
