Budget package is worth approximately 26 million euros says Meloni
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced a 26 billion euro budget package, making road tax abolition structural for 70% of vehicles. The second income tax bracket threshold will rise to 55,000 euros, providing a maximum benefit of 500 euros annually. The budget allocates 3.4 billion euros to the National Health Fund, with a focus on emergency room salaries. Additionally, the agreed-rent tax rate will decrease to 5%, or 1% for rentals to those under 35. Funding will include 5 billion euros from banks and an increased Tobin tax, with cuts to ministries totaling around 1 billion euros.
