Bulgaria mobilizes fighters after drone attacks in the Black Sea
The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense announced increased aerial surveillance in the Black Sea following recent drone attacks on merchant ships. F-16s, MiG-29s, Su-25s, and L-39s are patrolling the airspace, with U.S. Boeing P-8A Poseidon joining the efforts. Additional ground resources have been mobilized to ensure maritime navigation safety. These actions come after four merchant ships were attacked, three of which sank. Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed enhancing bilateral and trilateral cooperation with Romania to secure regional maritime navigation.
