Cape Verde says attending summit "does not change" condemnation of Ukraine invasion
Cabo Verde's Foreign Minister stated that attending the Russia-Africa summit does not change the country's condemnation of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Manuel Amante da Rosa emphasized that Cabo Verde respects its previous commitments against the invasion, recalling past votes at the UN. The current government, led by the African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde, maintains a stance of pragmatism and active neutrality, viewing the summit as an opportunity for dialogue and cooperation. Despite participation, the government reiterates its condemnation of the invasion and commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty.
