Caitlin Simmers and Molly Picklum in the final of the Peniche event

Caitlin Simmers defeated Bettylou Sakura Johnson in the semifinals of the Meo Rip Curl Pro Portugal and will face Molly Picklum in the final. Simmers scored 11.33 points, while Johnson scored 10.26. In the other semifinal, Picklum scored 8.63 points against Lakey Peterson's 7.40. The event is part of the World Surf League and runs until Sunday.
