Carneiro assures: central bloc "is not desirable"

José Luís Carneiro, the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party, dismissed the idea of a central bloc with the PSD, emphasizing the importance of a clear alternative between the two main parties for democracy. He stated that the PS aims to provide a solid alternative for governing the country and highlighted the party's contribution to political stability by supporting the 2027 State Budget. Carneiro expressed the need for reciprocity from the PSD if they win elections, while also acknowledging the necessity of dialogue among democratic parties to ensure governance outside of far-right influence.
