Casa da Música brings guitarrada, tecnobrega, and music from Acre

The Casa da Música in Porto is hosting a festival dedicated to the Amazon from November 12 to 28, featuring diverse musical genres and artistic expressions. The program includes performances by artists like Emanuel Cordeiro and the Puyanawa collective, showcasing traditional and contemporary sounds from the Amazon region. The festival aims to immerse audiences in the cultural richness of the Amazon while raising awareness about its environmental challenges. Alongside concerts, there will be visual arts installations and performances, including a live painting by José Roberto Aguilar and an innovative sound installation transforming plant sap measurements into music. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between the audience and the Amazon's cultural significance.
