Couple arrested in Guarda for abuse of daughter

The Judicial Police arrested a couple in Guarda for domestic violence, child exploitation, sexual coercion, and aggravated sexual abuse of their 13-year-old daughter. The suspects, both 32 years old and foreign nationals, were detained after being located following an investigation initiated by the Public Ministry. The daughter had been institutionalized due to previous domestic violence and exploitation allegations. Evidence was gathered linking the suspects to the sexual abuse claims, leading to their arrest and subsequent preventive detention. The investigation is being handled by the Department of Investigation and Penal Action in Guarda.
