CBS: hardly any more corporate housing for status holders

In 2024, the allocation of social housing to status holders in the Netherlands remained stable, with over 8% of available units assigned to them. Among starters, this figure rose to 21%, reflecting a consistent trend over recent years. The number of starters with status holders increased to 67%, as many waited for housing after high asylum influxes in 2015 and 2016. Regional disparities exist, with Flevoland having the highest allocation at 12%. Municipalities are responsible for housing status holders, but the tight housing market complicates this, leading to many still residing in temporary accommodations.
