The price cap on diesel will increase on Friday, while gasoline will again decrease in price.
The Czech Ministry of Finance has announced an increase in the maximum price of diesel to 49.69 CZK per liter, while gasoline prices will decrease to 44.26 CZK per liter. This change follows a weekly trend where diesel prices have risen, while gasoline prices have dropped. The government has extended fuel price regulations until the end of November, with the average price of diesel now at 48.06 CZK per liter. The increase in fuel prices is attributed to geopolitical tensions affecting oil supply routes. Additionally, a reduction in the excise tax on diesel is expected to help lower fuel costs.
