Clinical simulation center prepares students for emergencies
The Escola Superior de Saúde de Leiria has enhanced its Health Simulation Center with new equipment, enabling high-fidelity clinical training for students. Located at the ciTechCare center, the upgraded facility allows for realistic clinical scenarios, particularly for critical patient care. Coordinator Hugo Duarte emphasized the importance of this training for students across various programs, preparing them for emergency situations before internships. The center features advanced simulators that mimic real-life medical emergencies, helping students develop both technical and non-technical skills. The investment of approximately 65,000 euros, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, also supports training for health professionals and ongoing research projects.
