Gasoline prices down, diesel fuel will become more expensive. New statement from the Ministry of Energy

The Ministry of Energy announced new maximum fuel prices under the Lower Fuel Prices program, with gasoline prices decreasing while diesel prices will rise. Starting Thursday, the maximum prices will be 6.63 PLN/liter for 95-octane gasoline, 7.37 PLN/liter for 98-octane gasoline, and 8.02 PLN/liter for diesel. This change follows a recent law aimed at controlling fuel prices and reducing costs for drivers, funded by a new tax on excessive profits from fuel companies. The law includes a 60% tax on excess profits from March 2026 to March 2027, with the support package expected to last until the end of 2026, costing around 5 billion PLN.
