Energy prices are rising. People will pay more for gas, electricity, and firewood.

Wholesale natural gas prices have reached around 95 euros per megawatt-hour, the highest since late 2022. Earlier this year, prices were about 30 euros per MWh. Electricity prices are also rising, prompting suppliers to increase their rates, affecting both fixed and variable products. Households are responding by conserving energy, fixing prices, and switching suppliers. The rising costs of energy and fuels are also impacting solid fuel prices, with firewood increasing by up to 20% compared to last year. Domestic gas storage is currently 76% full, and the Ministry of Industry believes this will suffice for the upcoming heating season.
