Fuel prices before the weekend. New rates

On October 23, 2026, maximum fuel prices will be set at 6.56 PLN for Pb95, 7.28 PLN for Pb98, and 7.99 PLN for ON. The Fuel Price Lowering Program (CPN) has been reinstated, allowing temporary VAT and excise tax reductions until the end of 2026. Non-compliance with price caps may incur fines up to 1 million PLN. Minister Miłosz Motyka noted that consumers could save 1.30-1.40 PLN per liter at the pump. The government expects budget revenues from the excess profits tax on fuel companies to reach approximately 5.2 billion PLN, with an additional 1.2 billion PLN projected for the first quarter of 2027. The final amounts will depend on geopolitical circumstances.
