The Minister of Energy, Miłosz Motyka, announced reduced fuel prices for the upcoming weekend and Monday, with maximum prices set at 6.48 PLN for 95 octane gasoline, 7.32 PLN for 98 octane, and 8.15 PLN for diesel. These prices are lower than those on Friday, where 95 octane was priced at 6.51 PLN, 98 octane at 7.36 PLN, and diesel at 8.19 PLN. This announcement is part of the Fuel Price Lowering Package (CPN), aimed at mitigating fuel price increases. The new legislation includes a 60% tax on excess profits from fuel sales, effective from March 2026. The government plans to maintain this support package until the end of 2026, with an estimated cost of around 5 billion PLN.
