Prices have soared. Poland is among the leaders in Europe
In September, fuel prices in the EU rose significantly, with gasoline increasing by 6.7% and diesel by 5.9% compared to August. Year-on-year, prices surged by 31.4%. Bulgaria, Estonia, and Lithuania saw the highest increases, while Hungary, Ireland, and Sweden had the lowest. In Poland, gasoline prices rose by 9.7%, ranking second in the EU, while diesel prices also increased by 9.7%, placing Poland third. The smallest monthly increases were noted in Cyprus, Romania, and Slovenia for gasoline, and in Spain, Croatia, and Romania for diesel. A government support program to lower fuel prices was introduced in Poland in early October.
