About 90 thousand licensed houses in the last seven years have not been put on the market
In the last seven years, around 90,000 licensed homes have not been put on the market, despite nearly 250,000 construction permits issued since 2019. According to the National Institute of Statistics, only about 160,000 homes are completed. The reasons for this discrepancy include ongoing construction, labor shortages, financing issues, and projects that never progressed. A national platform is expected to help monitor the sector starting next year. Experts from the Architects and Engineers Orders highlighted various factors contributing to the situation, emphasizing the need for caution in data interpretation and the urgency of addressing housing shortages.
