Czech Republic will have a representative in the leadership of the monetary fund again after eight years

Czech Republic will have a representative in the IMF leadership for the first time in eight years. Tomáš Adam will serve as the executive director's representative for a group of seven countries, including the Czech Republic, while Mikuláš Zeman will be an advisor. Both will assume their roles on November 1. Adam will participate in the IMF Executive Board meetings and represent the group with full decision-making authority. Zeman will prepare analytical materials and coordinate positions among the countries. Their appointments follow a selection process opened to all employees of the Czech National Bank, aiming to enhance their professional development and benefit the bank upon their return.
