They want to remove toxic waste. They need 200 million, they will get just under 30
The Mazovian Voivodeship Assembly announced a budget allocation of nearly 30 million PLN for the removal of approximately 22,000 tons of illegally stored hazardous waste in Wołomin. The situation at the illegal dump site has been deemed critical, with risks of leakage and contamination. Local authorities have sought assistance for years, facing high disposal costs estimated at around 200 million PLN. The decision to secure funds is seen as a significant step towards addressing the environmental threat posed by the waste. Continuous monitoring is in place due to ongoing leaks and container degradation, with around 16,000 tons of hazardous substances still present.
