China asks Saudi Arabia for dialogue and maritime protection
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi urged Middle Eastern parties to resume dialogue and ensure energy route security amid ongoing conflicts. During a meeting with Saudi National Security Advisor Musaed bin Mohamed al Aiban, he emphasized the importance of negotiations for peace. Wang called for mutual trust among Middle Eastern nations and proposed a new regional security architecture. He also met with Iranian officials, advocating for dialogue as the only solution to regional crises. These discussions come as diplomatic efforts intensify to end the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran, particularly concerning the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial oil passage for China.
