Chinese Anta strengthens influence in Puma with chairmanship of the supervisory board
Anta Sports has strengthened its influence over Puma by appointing Dennis Tao as chairman of the supervisory board following its acquisition of 29.06% of Puma's shares. This appointment comes shortly after Anta completed the acquisition for €1.51 billion, making it Puma's largest shareholder. Tao's role is effective immediately, with Jeanne Huang also joining the supervisory board. Both appointments were made by court decision and will last until the shareholders' meeting in May 2027. Anta aims to maintain Puma's independence while overseeing its executive management.
