China is building nuclear submarines much faster than the Americans

In June, analyst H.I. Sutton revealed a new Chinese submarine under construction at Jiangnan shipyard, initially thought to lack a conning tower. Recent updates confirm it does have a small kiosk, enhancing stealth capabilities. The submarine measures approximately 120 meters, surpassing China's Type 093 submarines. Speculations about its missile capacity have been dismissed due to lack of evidence. Meanwhile, another submarine type, 095, is being developed at Bohai shipyard, potentially replacing the Type 093. The shift towards nuclear-powered submarines indicates China's strategic focus on enhancing its naval capabilities, paralleling historical U.S. developments.
