Churchill painted it in 1948. Now it has reached a staggering price

The auction of Churchill's painting "Amaryllis" exceeded expectations, raising over half a million pounds, but fell short of the 2021 record. The painting was donated to the Churchill Fellowship by his youngest daughter to fund the "Making Space for the Arts" program. Churchill began painting in 1915 after a political setback, finding solace in art during difficult times. He created over 550 works, claiming it enhanced his observational skills and memory.
