Starting November 1, the SOS Bus initiative, a collaboration between Sopot and Gdańsk, aims to assist the homeless until spring 2027. The bus departs daily from Sopot at 19:15, making stops in Gdańsk before reaching a warming center by 23:30. Social workers will engage with individuals in crisis, encouraging them to accept help despite potential challenges like addiction or mental health issues. This mobile assistance is crucial during the cold months, providing support for those who do not use shelters or night accommodations.
