'Litoral' closes, the magazine that was the seed of the Generation of '27
The magazine Litoral, a significant platform for Spanish poetry, is set to conclude its century-long journey with a final anthology featuring 300 poets. Founded in 1926 by Emilio Prados and Manuel Altolaguirre, Litoral has been a vital space for cultural dialogue, showcasing works from various generations of poets. Lorenzo Saval, who has led the magazine for decades, reflects on its rich history and the challenges it faced, including censorship and exile. The final issue, titled 'Antología final', will celebrate its legacy without nostalgia, marking the end of an era in Spanish literature.
