Key points of the agreement between PP and Vox for the Senate lists: where does Abascal concede?, in which provinces does Feijóo withdraw?
The Popular Party (PP) and Vox have reached a strategic agreement for Senate lists in 23 provinces for the upcoming elections. Vox will not present candidates in six provinces, while the PP will withdraw from three. In 14 provinces, Vox will only nominate one candidate, allowing PP voters to choose from three candidates. The agreement aims to strengthen the center-right majority in the Senate against leftist movements. The electoral system favors the most voted party in each province, which historically benefits the PP. The agreement does not cover all 60 electoral districts, leaving some for independent candidacies.
