Cloud and cybersecurity, the voucher for businesses is now available

Starting tomorrow, applications for a new voucher aimed at SMEs and freelancers investing in cloud computing and cybersecurity services will open. The initiative has a budget of 150 million euros, with 71 million allocated for investments in eight southern regions of Italy. The grant will cover 50% of eligible expenses, up to 20,000 euros per beneficiary, for projects costing at least 4,000 euros. Applications can be submitted from November 10 to January 20, 2027, or until funds are exhausted. This measure aims to enhance businesses' capacity to adopt advanced digital technologies. Despite significant public incentives over the past five years, questions remain about the actual digital advancement of smaller Italian firms. Research indicates that while over half of SMEs are investing in digital transformation, many still lag in adopting emerging technologies like AI and blockchain. Additionally, a lack of structured training programs hampers effective technology integration.
