What next for the NBP management? Government spokesman speaks out
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has not yet decided on the counter-signature for President Karol Nawrocki's nominations for new members of the National Bank of Poland's board. Four nominations are pending, and Nawrocki has resubmitted them for Tusk's approval. The board members are appointed by the president but require the prime minister's counter-signature, except for certain cases. Tusk previously rejected the same nominations in May. The current board, led by President Adam Glapiński, consists of seven members, and potential changes may occur in November if the vice president's term is not extended. The law stipulates that board members serve six-year terms, with a maximum of two consecutive terms.
