The 120-year cycle of composer Lopes-Graça begins

The book-CD "Modernismo e Folclore no Piano de Fernando Lopes-Graça" by Miguel Borges Coelho and Daniel Moreira will be launched at Casa Verdades Faria in Cascais. This work celebrates the 120th anniversary of Lopes-Graça's birth and explores his integration of traditional music into original compositions. The CD features pianist Miguel Borges Coelho performing several pieces by Lopes-Graça, including the 11 Glosas and the Sonata No. 2. The event marks the beginning of a series of concerts and lectures dedicated to Lopes-Graça's music across the country. The Casa Verdades Faria houses Lopes-Graça's collection and serves as a documentation center for his work, reflecting his significant contributions to Portuguese music and culture.
