Concorde in Prague. How Czechoslovakia welcomed the world's most famous aircraft 40 years ago

On October 22, 1986, the Concorde made its historic landing at Prague's Ruzyně Airport, marking a significant moment for aviation enthusiasts in Czechoslovakia. The aircraft, known as G-BOAF, was part of a promotional event for Čedok, featuring British travel agents. This Concorde had previously set a world record for transatlantic flights in 1983. The aircraft returned to the Czech Republic several times, with its last visit in April 2000, just months before a tragic accident led to the end of Concorde operations. G-BOAF completed its final flight in November 2003 and is now displayed at Aerospace Bristol museum.
