Asian Football Confederation supports Infantino's candidacy

The Asian Football Confederation has endorsed Gianni Infantino's bid for a new term as FIFA president. AFC President Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa expressed strong support, emphasizing that while not all members may align with this stance, the majority likely will. Infantino is seeking a fourth term, with elections scheduled for March and the candidacy deadline on November 18. This endorsement marks a shift from previous criticism of Infantino by the AFC. Infantino acknowledged past mistakes but promised increased funding for national federations, raising the financial support significantly from one million to 25 million dollars every four years starting next year.
