French Council of State prohibits the route of the demonstration this Saturday in Paris

The French Council of State has banned the planned protest route in Paris due to public order concerns. The demonstration was organized by unions to protest rising living costs and public service degradation. The police proposed an alternative route, but it was initially overturned by an administrative court. Following this, the Interior Minister appealed to the Council of State, which sided with the government. The student union FAGE criticized the ban as an obstacle to the right to protest. Additionally, concerns about potential violence from far-right groups have led to a curfew in certain areas and the mobilization of 70,000 police officers nationwide.
