Constitutional accuses Tusk of "coup d'état"

In Warsaw, police were deployed near the Constitutional Tribunal following the suspension of its president, Bogdan Swieczkowski, amid tensions between the nationalist right and the centrist government. President Karol Nawrocki interrupted his official trip to Senegal to return to Poland. Supporters of the conservative Law and Justice party (PiS) protested outside the tribunal, which has been criticized by the EU for its political ties. Donald Tusk, the current Prime Minister, aims to restore the rule of law but faces challenges with judicial appointments being blocked. The tribunal denied the suspension, calling it a coup, and stated that Swieczkowski remains in office. Confusion persists as protests continue outside the tribunal.
