South Korea inaugurates Drone Headquarters to strengthen defense against Pyongyang

South Korea has inaugurated a new Drone Command Center to enhance its defense capabilities against North Korea. The Ministry of Defense aims to develop military drone systems and train hundreds of thousands of soldiers in drone operations. This initiative responds to the increasing use of drones in modern conflicts, as seen in Ukraine and the Middle East. The center will also establish a military certification system for unmanned aerial vehicles. North Korea is advancing its own drone capabilities, posing a threat to Seoul, especially following recent tensions marked by missile launches and border incidents. The South Korean intelligence service is monitoring potential North Korean rocket deployments near the border.
