CPI to be suspended during OE2027 debate

The Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) regarding Luís Neves' tenure at the Judiciary Police has voted to suspend its activities during the discussion of the 2027 State Budget. This decision was made despite opposition from the Chega and the Liberal Initiative parties. The suspension will last from October 28 to November 26, following the final vote on the budget on November 24. An exceptional meeting is planned to address pending issues related to the approval of representatives to be heard by the CPI. The inquiry was initiated due to controversies surrounding Neves, including contracts linked to a company associated with a current minister.
