Eurozone activity growth loses momentum in October

The eurozone's economic activity growth slowed in October, with the composite PMI index at 51.9 points, down from 53.1 in September. Despite remaining above the 50-point threshold indicating growth, the index reflects a four-month low. New orders increased at the slowest pace in four months, and employment levels stabilized amid worsening outlooks. The French services sector experienced a decline, influenced by strikes, while the manufacturing sector also showed signs of weakening. Companies reported rising production costs, particularly in energy and transport. Business confidence fell to a five-month low, especially in manufacturing, contrasting with more positive sentiments in other eurozone countries.
