Children and elderly people from Leiria wrote messages for a time capsule to be opened in 2036
Children and elderly from Leiria wrote messages for a time capsule to be opened in 2036, as part of an initiative celebrating the International Day of the Elderly. The event took place at the Municipal Stadium of Leiria, where 500 children from the Marrazes School contributed drawings and texts for the capsule. Elderly participants were also invited to share messages for the younger generation. The capsule, shaped like a large hourglass, will be kept by the Marrazes School, which will open it in ten years. The messages aim to foster intergenerational connections and share wisdom from the elderly with children.
