Housing crisis. President hears parties in Belém about social cohesion

The President of Portugal is meeting with various political parties to discuss social cohesion and the housing crisis. The meetings, initiated after António José Seguro's call for dialogue between the government and opposition, began at 8:30 AM and are expected to conclude by 1:30 PM. The President previously met with housing experts and stakeholders, emphasizing the need for solutions without violence. He highlighted the urgency of addressing housing issues, particularly for young people, and questioned the lack of dialogue among parties despite existing proposals. A Council of State meeting on social cohesion and housing is scheduled for November 2.
